Back From Alaska & Fighting The Body Ache

I made it back from Alaska only to find myself fighting a nasty body ache followed with a cough that just won’t go away.  The trip was business but I still managed to grab a couple shots.  I did not have a lot of time and when I did get the little time to get out and drive, I was too tired to do much.

It was a lot of fun and I have been twice now within a year and have yet to do any fishing.  Hopefully I can get back there in the next few months and do some fly fishing.  The seafood was excellent and we ate like kings.

Jeremy Horn’s Elite Fighting – May 1st 2009

 

Here is the second part of my series of photos taken at Jeremy Horn’s Elite Fight Night on May 1st 2009.  FEATURING DAVID CASTILLO.

I had a great time shooting ring side.  I ran into a photographer from Busath Photography.  She happened to be the photographer that shot my wedding almost 13 years ago.  It was fun to chat and to get some pointers from her!

David Castillo put the hurt on his opponent ending the fight with a wicked stomach blow!  It has been some time since I have seen a fight ending in the result of a stomach punch.

Spencer “The Kingfisher” Fischer” made an appearance along with his wife who destroyed “KILLER MILLER”.  Check out the elbow bombs she dropped on Miller!

Great fights!  I would love to have Jeremy and Jen Howell invite me back for future fights.  I hope you enjoy the photography!

Horns Elite Fighting – FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHT NIGHT!

 

LET’S GET IT ON!  I had a great time photographing Jeremy Horn’s Elite Fight Night.  Every fight was good.  Those that know me understand how much I enjoy MMA and know that I have been following Mixed Martial Arts before it became mainstream.  I have always wanted to photograph these events and I got my first opportunity last night up north in Layton, UT.
